What goes on in Year 3?

Our topic for the Spring term is The Rainforest! We will be learning all about the layers of the rainforest, wonderful wildlife that can be found in each layer, exploring maps to spot patterns in where rainforests can be found and discovering why it is so important that we take care of our precious rainforests. In Science, we will also be learning about healthy diets and our skeletons. Scroll to the bottom of this page for a full overview of our learning this term and throughout the year.

Homework: This will be sent home every Monday, to be returned the following Monday. This will include a weekly spellings practise activity as well as an activity linked to reading, writing or Maths.

Reading: Your child has a reading log that should be updated regularly. The children are sent home with banded books at the appropriate level, and these can be updated as regularly as they like. We check the reading logs weekly, so please ensure these are filled in.

PE Days for Spring 2 are Monday and Friday. Our Friday lessons will be with the Sports Stars coaches!
