Here you can find reports, data and links related to our school’s performance, achievement and Ofsted assessment. You can also read the letter which we received in January 2019 from our MP, Jeremy Quin, congratulating us on the huge improvements made by the school in the Key Stage 2 Results in Summer 2018. Our latest addition is the FFT data analysis that compares our 2020 mock exam grades the with all other schools nationally.
The school was inspected by Ofsted on 13th March 2018 and we are delighted to tell you that the inspection resulted in Arunside being graded as a ‘Good’ school. To read the Ofsted inspection report please click the link below.
The report recognises in great detail our recent journey; the improving standards that are apparent and the strength that exist in teaching and learning. The inspector was impressed with the quality of our learning environments and praised teachers’ for ensuring that children’s work is valued. Indeed, she commented regularly on the strength of relationships that exist between all adults and children across the school, with one child quoting: ‘I like the fact that teachers are so supportive. I know that I can always go to speak to them and that they will look after me’.
We know the issues where we need to improve further and the report makes it clear that we are already addressing these. This report is not the end of the rapid improvements that are currently in place, but merely the beginning of a journey towards an ‘Outstanding’ future for Arunside.
We would like to quote the inspector’s comments which were given as she left the feedback meeting. Her words were, ’Your Local Authority advisor told me the future is bright at Arunside, I have to agree, keep doing what you are doing’ – it seems it is a great time to have a child at Arunside School.
We would of course, like to thank all of our parents for their overwhelming support that was given to us through ‘Parentview’ and wish to assure you that we will continue to listen and work with you to make Arunside the school our community deserves.
All our other historic Ofsted reports are also available for reference on the Ofsted website here.
We are proud to announce our latest results in the following table:
Although the above relates to academic performance in 2018-2019, the performance measures for 2019 – 2020 have yet to be published. These will be displayed here as soon as they are available. You can also access our historical data through School Performance Tables on the DfE website along with other useful government school data.
What is Parent View?
Parent View is an Ofsted service that allows parents to give their views about this school at any time of the year, by completing a simple online questionnaire. At the time of an Ofsted inspection, parents are also invited to give inspectors their views using Parent View.
Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with any issues relating to bullying or poor behaviour. You are able to highlight the strengths of school also.
Arunside Parent View Results
At Arunside we strive to ensure that any issues brought to our attention by parents are dealt with swiftly and to the satisfaction of all.
