Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Butser Ancient Farm on 5th October. They learnt a lot about their History topic ‘The Stone Age’. The children were very enthusiastic about sharing what they had already learnt and impressed the leaders from Butser Farm with all their knowledge! They took part in 4 activities during the day. They did an archaeological excavation looking for artefacts from The Stone Age, did a chalk carving, made a bead out of clay and had a tour of the site looking at the roundhouses and how they changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
