This week our Year 2 children learned how to use the Dragon’s Sneeze! It is a flint rod and striker that we use to light fires in Forest School, as you can see from their faces this is quite challenging but very exciting when it works! All of the children were successful in the end.

We also planted some Hazel saplings along the banks of the River Arun to help prevent future soil erosion.

Over the weekend we had coppiced one of our Elder trees so many of our children made Elder pencils using charcoal and then used them to complete their Bug Hunt tally.

Elsewhere there were many dens, swings, see-saws, book reading and mud kitchen fun had.
