In Year 6 the children study World War 2 as part of their curriculum and some time ago Ms Broadhurst managed to purchase an original Andersen Shelter for our school. So today Ms Murray and Mrs Yuille put it up in the Forest School area.

It needed trenches to be dug and the heavy sheets of corrugated iron bolted together to form the arch.

After a couple of hours of hard work we got it done and now Arunside is the proud owner of our very own Andersen Shelter
