This week there were many swings put up, that we ALL enjoyed!

We started the sessions by introducing  the fire safety triangle so that all the children would know how to keep safe around our open fire. Please chat to your children about the 3 elements involved – Fuel, heat and oxygen and how to remove these to safely put out a fire.

In their free play some children chose to use palm drills to make medals and cookie people.

Others experimented with natural paint, cooking in the mud kitchen, making dens and pop up cafes.

and many, many swings were put up.

We finished off our sessions by teaching the children to use peelers to strip the bark from green wood so that everyone could toast their own marshmallow. They can all do it now so get them involved in veg prep at home!

Finally we all had a hot chocolate while Mrs Murray read a story and told us all about Hedgehogs.
