We started each session with the children leading their blindfolded friends around the site. The focus was on senses and communication, as well as it causing much hilarity!
During their explorations and free play they built dens, put up hammocks and relaxed in them, made natural paint and face painted with it, put up many, many tyre and stick swings and built obstacle courses.
Some of the children chose to get started on their Bug Hotel projects that we’ve had all the pallets donated for. They learnt to safely use a Bow Saw and a Crow Bar.
Once the fire had been lit by our Forest School Club children, we used peelers and knives to whittle green sticks to toast marshmallows.
To finish off we learnt all about one of our trees, the Common Lime. Here they are, Lime Class bonding with one of our Lime trees!
