Today they learned to safely use a Bow Saw and an Axe, to cut, process and split some dry wood for the fire.

Just because they weren’t on PGL didn’t mean we couldn’t have a really fun and skillful day out at Forest School. They used knives to whittle butter knives, made Knitting Nancys using a Bow Saw, a Laplander and a palm drill. As well as lying in hammocks, making meals in the mud kitchen and putting up multiple swings.

We finished up by lighting the fire and making toast -buttering with our homemade knives!
