We started with a tool talk so that now we can all use secateurs safely.

We’ve also been practicing knots, so today we made good use of our new skills and made STARS!

There was real team work going on as they worked in pairs to lash 5 sticks together.

but Mrs Yuille it’s a ‘W’ not a star!

The children demonstrated masses of resilience as they had to figure out how to make the sticks into a star.

Charlie went on to use the same knots to make a tripod.

Some children chose to make mini dens for the Building Learning Buddies.
