Den Building in the Snow

The snow didn’t stop us getting outside this week as the children were determined to continue with their Den building.

There was clear evidence they have been practicing their knots, with clove hitches and reef knots being used to effect. The challenge was to make the most stable Den and they all achieved a worthy model.

  

Ever resourceful they used tarps, tyres, camo nets, pegs and wood, even a make shift brick hammer to get the pegs into the cold ground.

We finished off our session with hot chocolate around the fire circle and discussed what went well and what they would like to do next time.
