This week’s homework is to learn The Song of the Witches off by heart and be ready to perform it in class on Tuesday 15th October. The only other homework this week is to learn their spellings. We know that this is the first time for the children to recite a poem that they have learnt off by heart and we will approach this in a kind and supportive manner. It is an objective from the Year 5 National Curriculum to perform a range of poems, which they learn off by heart.
We have also sent home the instruction sheet for the Take Away Task as we wanted to give the children as much time as possible to plan and complete this task. The Take Away Task is due on Monday 4th November 2019. One of the choices is to create a factfile. If the children choose to create a powerpoint to write their factfile on, they will need to present this to the rest of the class. They can email their powerpoint to office@arunside.school by the due date.
Please can the children bring their homework books back to school on Monday 4th November so we can hand out the new homework. They do not need to bring them in for the poetry homework.
