What a mix of weather we’ve had to welcome Year 2 back! 

It was chilly…

and sometimes damp….

but we read The Rainy Day and Mrs Murray taught us all about animal homes.

A special thanks goes out to Joseph who built a bird house with his dad and brought it in for our Forest School area.

We built dens, and used a wooden mallet to put in some sapling protectors.

And many different things were constructed from the new donated off-cuts, including this computer!

We learned how to make holes safely using Palm drills in preparation for next week’s craft.

A great deal of resilience was needed for this challenging activity.

We all had a great time exploring, playing, getting dirty, laughing, dodging the rain, drinking hot chocolate and generally having fun. More next week!
