Yesterday year 1 had a special treat. We spent the morning learning about the Hindu Festival of Light. We learnt about why Diwali is celebrated and we were able to reenact the story of Rama and Sita. We also learnt some Indian dance moves and had our own Festival of Light. The children really enjoyed themselves and hopefully came home excited about that they did today.
