I am so proud of the children this week, they demonstrated all of our key strengths of resilience, independence, teamwork, and planning, drawing on all the skills they have mastered over this Lockdown.
To celebrate their new skills they were awarded Arunside Ranger status. Here they are with their new medals.
We learnt how to do square lashing which they turned into frames for weaving.
Then the object of the afternoon was to get off the ground for a game of Ultimate Floor is Lava
The children made swings, ladders, islands, tripods and balance beams .
We even had a visit from Mrs Hadden who came out in time for hot chocolate and a little swing!
We’re all looking forward to more fun behind the Rainbow fence in the summer term.
What lovely pictures of the year 6’s and their exploration of forest school. Learning valuable life skills, thank you Arunside.
